EVENT INFORMATION

The Northville Art House Art Market is a three-day juried art fair featuring up to 150 visual artists. After taking a hiatus in 2024, the 2025 Art Market returns to Main and Center Streets in downtown Northville and will be bigger and better than ever.  

2025 Northville Art House Art Market Dates:  

  • Friday, June 13, 2025 3 pm-8pm 
  • Saturday, June 14, 2025 10 am-8 pm 
  • Sunday, June 15, 202510 am-3 pm 

Artist Application and Notification Dates:  

  • Application deadline:  March 31, 2025 
  • Notification: April 7, 2025 via email 
  • Accept Invitation/ Purchase Deadline: April 30, 2025

RULES/REGULATIONS

Exhibition & Product Guidelines for All Accepted Media Categories 
All works must be the original design of the artists . The only reproductions allowed in the booth are those of the artist’s own original work. Under no circumstances are mass produced items allowed. The Northville Art House determines what is deemed an original or reproduction, and its decisions are final. 

Eligibility 
The Northville Art House reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any artist for inclusion in the Art Market in accordance with the Art Market jury process. Jurors score each application and acceptance is based on creativity, uniqueness, concept and mastering of technique or craftsmanship of the work in addition to the overall presentation shown in the booth’s image. All work must be designed and executed by the accepted artist(s) (maximum of two collaborators).  

Standard of Artist Work 
Work that is shown must be original in conception and execution and solely that of the artist(s) accepted. Objects made from commercial molds, kits or plans will not be accepted. Reproductions of original artwork must be clearly marked as reproductions. 

Artist Representatives 
Artists are expected to be present, in their booth, throughout the entirety of the fair. Artists are permitted to take breaks, restock, etc. however, the featured artist(s) must be the primary presence in their booth for all three days. 
 
Booth Location 
Participating artists shall accept booth locations in downtown Northville as assigned by Northville Art House Art Market leadership. Artists may request a specific location, but the Northville Art House will not be able to honor all requests.

Booth Fees 

  • The booth fee is $325 for a single space and $650 for a double space for artists.
  • A $75 electricity fee may be added if service is required, only specific areas of downtown Northville have access to electricity. There is limited availability for electricity, requests must be made at least 20 days prior to the event. 
  • Generators are only allowed for food vendors 
  • Applicants may pay online by credit card through ZAPPlication or by check made payable to Northville Art House and mailed to Northville Art House, 215 W. Cady Street, Northville, MI 48167, attn: Art Market. 
  • Fees/checks must be received by April 30, 2025. 

Booth Requirements 

  • Artists must submit their own tents and display surfaces
  • Artists' tents may not exceed 10’x10’ 
  • Tents must be weighted with a minimum of 40 lbs on each corner. 
  • All weights must be secured to a frame/leg of the tent - no bungee cords. 
  • Any containers used as weight must have a cover/closure to secure the weighted material inside.  
  • All tents are subject to inspection by a representative of the City of Northville. Artists are responsible for addressing any safety issue(s) found prior to the start of the fair. 
  • This is an outdoor event. Some ground may be uneven in areas. Efforts are made to place booths on even ground; however, the Northville Art House does not control the maintenance of the park grounds and understanding is necessary in working with the outdoor variables.  
  • NO PETS WILL BE ALLOWED. 

Booth Set-up/Breakdown 

Artists may pull their vehicles into the Art Market area for unloading and loading. Immediately after unloading their vehicle, artists must relocate their cars to an alternate parking area 

  • Set up begins at 9am for the first round of Artist. Artists will be assigned a specific time slot for arriving and unloading their vehicles to ensure ease for all and traffic management. Artists are not permitted to set up prior to their assigned load-in time.  
  • Booths may begin to break down starting at 3:01pm on Sunday. All materials should be off site no later than 6:00pm. 

REFUND POLICY

  • Application fees are non-refundable. 
  • Accepted artists wishing to cancel and receive a booth fee refund must notify the Art Market team at the Northville Art House directly by emailing artmarket@northvillearthouse.org
  • A 50% refund will be issued for cancellation requests received by May 16, 2025.  
  • No refunds will be issued after May 16, 2025.
